A Bit More About Us!

Nutro Body Care LLC manufactures under the highest standards of quality control, in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The Founder, Mary Gentry-Randall, is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist Emeritus and has worked in the public and environmental health arena for over 18 years. Registration in environmental and public health is a rigorous process including both experience and an intensive examination. Registration is conducted through the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) of which our founder is an active and current credentialed member. It is much like the American Bar Examination is to the legal profession; or, the nursing examination is to Registered Nurses, etc.

Mary began her career with state government inspecting food service and FDA registered manufacturing facilities. Her career branched out to include the composition of laboratory hygiene, OSHA compliance and worker safety manuals for private industry and consulted as a safety supervisor on several EPA superfund sites in the USA. Additionally, she directed public and environmental health departments, whereby she was instrumental in writing and implementing policies that focused on public health and water quality, development planning, wildlife, wetland and other resource elements.

Her background is extensive in the area of safety, health and the environment and this professional background has been instrumental in the development of safe and hygienic laboratory practices in the manufacture of our products. Employee safety is first and foremost. Fortunately, public education has made it easier to train employees as to proper sanitation practices in the manufacture of product. Mary has used the inspection protocol know as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point inspection) to ensure hygienic handling of raw materials during manufacturing processes. This type of monitoring focuses on those points where cross contamination is most likely to happen. When these points are identified, then methods are put in place to eliminate the potential of contamination. This type of inspection is used in the food service industry and we find that HAACP crosses over to the activities we perform at Nutro Body Care. We don't necessarily like how we look in booties, lab coats, hair nets and gloves, but since we all look weird it makes it a bit easier!

Not only is her background essential for proper manufacturing, but she also uses her environmental background to select appropriate raw materials for our formulations. Mary bases our company focus upon a platform of earnest diligence in the preservation and renewability of our resources. This is why we don't subscribe to gimmick ingredients, or carry a multitude of butters, oils and other materials.

The guidelines for raw material selection she has established for Nutro Body Care are restrictive and we know in the long run it is a better business model for us. Mary is focused on being mentored by businesses whose environmental objectives and actions echo that of ours. It is our intention that these relationships will ensure positive, healthy growth where the environment is our top priority. These USA-based, international companies are in business to profit; however, the systems they are implementing ensure their growth with greatly reduced resource extraction.

Our focus at Nutro Body Care is serving our clients with quality, service and good will. We know the only way we will be comfortable in growing our company is if we can do so enviro-gitimately. This is what makes us enjoy our service!
